The American Dream

In case you can't tell I am massively behind in updating the blog and my website - but the kids are back in school and I am going to try and catch up...

These lovely shots are from a birthday party we went to at the end of June in Chicago as guests of a guest - I thought I had better make myself useful and at least take some photos! I had such a great time at the party and the kidlets did too. This neighbourhood and this house reminded me of everything I thought of as "American" growing up in Australia - big trees, tree swings, checkered tablecloths, beautiful children, freckles, ice cream, smiles (perfect teeth!) and great houses. Even the dog was as American as apple pie! It was like stepping into a movie for me. I love the sheer joy and happiness on the faces of these kids. So much fun! Thanks for including us.

Baby Ian

Oh my how Baby Ian has grown! He is such a giggle pot now and he is sitting, standing (pulling himself up all by himself to standing!) and waving. I see walking in his future. It was so much fun to take Ian's photo again - there were so many gorgeous ones to choose from. Aren't his parents beautiful too? I love the frame where Ian is looking up at his Daddy.
